ESCAPISTS
We are all Escapists… in its most basic form. We detach, distract and allow momentary reprieve from certain circumstances. What draws us away from our everyday troubles? How do we indulge in such behaviour that helps us avoid, temporarily, unpleasant truths that we may live with? This work explores the habitual diversion of the mind that we use to escape from reality or routine. Of course…escapism, like anything else, can go too far.
MEETING AT R9
When we witness another person experiencing an emotion, how do we simulate or represent that emotion in ourselves? Surrounding the theme of tension states, Meeting at R9 demonstrates the possibilities of tension that can be felt, lived and experienced in the body. Movement takes form by focusing on mime work and gesture using impulse as a guiding force.
BIRTH OF A B
This work is based on the study of bees and the importance of their presence on this earth. After collaborating with renowned melittologist and researcher, Dr. Laurence Packer, Seibold created movement inspired by different bee species—their lines, textures, colors, detail, and beauty. This work incorporates research about insect behavior while expressing physicality and unusual manipulation of the human body. The trio encompasses a journey of beauty, mutation, and imperfection while exploring the dark truth about the decline of the bee population.
HONEY
This short, sweet story is an exploration of movement and film. Looking at how textures influence and shape the body. Honey touches on ways you can physicalize abstract forms or objects.

A response to Patria Stamps Tug -of- War photographs. Reflections of the power and representations of the woman's gaze.

An exploration on how materials can inform the human body. A collaboration and conversation between film, location, object & movement.

Supernatural acts of lust, religiosity, movement and sound. Inspired by compositions from Spanish composer Astor Piazzolla. His unique Nuevo tango style blends elements of classical and jazz. This piece involves the exploration of sensuality and power through the relationship of movement and sound.
